Ana Everling Included on Putumayo Discovery’s “European Escapade”

Romanian vocalist and storyteller Ana Everling is included on Putumayo Discovery’s latest compilation. European Escapade offers an adventurous musical journey across the continent, with surprising detours and appealing songs at every stop. Think of it as a Eurrail pass for the ears: no fixed route, no predetermined destinations, just the pleasure of hopping on and off and seeing what each new destination has to offer. The continent is full of new music and artists waiting to be discovered, and this album is a reminder of how much you miss when you stick to the tourist trail.

Putumayo Discovery’s latest collection ranges from modern flavors to ancient inspirations, from the rousing bluegrass-influenced folk of Estonia to the ancient dance songs of Moldova, the slinky crooners of Slovenia to medieval Swedish nyckelharpas, and more fun and appealing surprises along the way. European Escapade captures some of Europe’s remarkable musical diversity in a single irresistible collection. No passport required.
